Why are some that post here JW apologists?
by ctrwtf inmy rant tonight is against the quasi religious apologists that post on this board.
those who at once rail against the jw's then later talk about how "orderly" and "neat" the witnesses are at their conventions.
those who site the benefits of bloodless surgery to some who have the luxury and time to actually make an educated choice, while ignoring the tens of thousands who've died because they happen to be in an accident or succumb to a disease for which there is no other treatment.. i understand the power of cognitive dissonance.

The wife reminds me all the time about the none sense I would tell her , of course I tell her
I don't remember. This is her, remember you told me Adam was the 1st man and there was
a talking snake, JW's are some of the most intelligent folks on the face of the earth (I don't remember),
the Grand canyon was carved out by the flood ( I don't remember), people lived a long time in OT ( don't R).
There were a few years after leaving that organization I still held on to some of their stupid beliefs.

I'am not a bible scholar but I believe the author of Rev. was high as a kite. I'am looking
at a program at this moment and the 666 is 616. Jehovah will enlighten the GB with more BS..
If there is a Jehovah he laughing his ass off, these fools. Jehovah is thinking, hell I don't know
what Rev is about.

Socrates died at age 70 around 399 B.C and he did not die of old age but
instead by execution. 2000 years later modern man aren't living much longer.
But in 1907 life expectancy for men was 47, go figure.

Is shunning unscriptual?
by MrTheocratic ininternational version 1 cor 5:11. but now i am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler.
do not even eat with such people.. if shunning is wrong.

13 year anniversary
by gerry intoday marks 13 years since my wife and i have stepped inside a kingdom hall.
after 29 years full on being a jw and a number of years serving as an elder then as the presiding overseer we pulled the plug.
yes 13 years ago coming home from the first day of a circuit assembly i said to my wife “that’s it i am not going back”.

It's hard to think that there is it no after life, no dancing around in paradise, no growing
old, no singing Kingdom songs all day and no flying around in heaven.
We grow old and die and that's it, not a pleasure thought. If I'm wrong that's great,
but I have excepted that fact and fine with it.

After 15-17 years JW daughter coming by for a visit today.

WingCommander: I thought of that last night, "Blood issue", and my brother waving my
daughter and grandkids in my face. I'am thankful that he encourage her to come by to see me,
but on the other hand at the family gathering my ex-JW wife and her husband was there. My
non-JW sister said it made her sick to see my ex and her husband there and I can't step foot into
his house. But you know I'am fine with it, I'am just happy to have my daughter back.
I like to add this I see something different with my family. Both my sons followed me out but my two
daughters are close to their mom so they stayed in. My youngest JW daughter and her JW husband told
me they will never shun me, she told her husband don't talk about JW stuff around my dad.LOL
When my daughter came to visit Sat. when we embraced all the other kids were also tear eyed,
my daughters, there husband and my grandkids. The one son-in law that told me he will never shun me
grabbed me as they were leaving and whispered in my ear, pop we are family, right.
